Jog Derbyshire and Kedleston Hall host a friendly, fun monthly trail run – or walk – whatever you want to do – around the beautiful Kedleston Estate to raise money for Derbyshire Mind – also promoting the benefits of outdoor exercise
It’s £2.00 entry and you can do 5K or 10K – I did the 5K as at this time I wasn’t feeling that I was anywhere near doing 10K. Husband came with Tilly to walk around the estate while I did the running.
The run starts with a hill – which was rather a challenge – to say the least – I was wondering what on earth I’d let myself in for – although after that it was a really lovely run with lovely scenery. These are some of the pictures Paul took while walking the same route with Tilly
It really is a beautiful walk.
Here I come lol
And there I go ….
However, not long after this picture, I heard little footsteps racing after me and there was Tilly – she ended up running all the rest of the way with me (about 2 miles!) and she was brilliant – Paul was left to do the walk alone!
This was a lovely run – everyone is welcome to do whatever they want – very relaxed and everyone was very friendly. I might have a go at the 10k next month???
After Tilly and I had found Paul we went for a lovely bacon sandwich and coffee at the cafe (you get a 20% off voucher for doing the run) – and sat outside enjoying the view.
If you don’t want to do the run then I would still highly recommend going to Kedleston Hall for a walk – it’s beautiful – and go in the cafe as well!
