The forecast today was for light showers so we decided to go for a trek up Kinder in the Peak District – we were going to go camping but as there was rain forecast for Sunday we changed our mind! It was quite nice at the start of the walk – no rain. Tilly and Winston, our gorgeous Schnoodle pups were raring to go.
Kinder was shrouded in clouds
But up we go – I was knackered climbing up and just as we got near the top a bloke RAN past us – wow – made me feel very unfit.
Once we got to the top – in the clouds – we couldn’t see a thing – so much for the views – and it was soooo cold and windy. We really should have picked a nicer day lol.
Have to touch the Trig point and have a photo 😁I must admit I was glad to be on the way back down – out of the clouds and a clearer view.
Kinder reservoir is so low
Finally made it back to the car – very wet so we just had to find the nearest pub which was The Sportsman Inn – had a pint and a very delicious dinner – 3 of us had the steak and ale pie and one had the cheese and onion pie – it was really good – highly recommended.
All in all – a great walk – just need to do it again on a sunny day.
